Visiting Copenhagen

Copenhagen is always worth a visit – for pleasure, for business or for both.

Copenhagen is a green, scenic and safe city that offers something for everyone. The city is full of historic sites while at the same time it has a distinct modern touch to it. Excellent shopping opportunities are found here, among others the world’s longest pedestrian shopping street (“Strøget”) and Scandinavia’s largest shopping centre (“Field’s).

On the cultural side Copenhagen offers, among others, a brand new opera house beautifully located on the waterfront and a range of world class museums.

The relatively small size of the city makes it easy to navigate in and perfect for short visits.

The official language is Danish, however foreigners need not to worry, as Copenhagen is highly international. Approximately 80 per cent of the Danish population speaks English, 50 per cent speaks German and 10 per cent speaks French (Source: EU Commission), and the city is generally geared towards foreigners. Movies are for example not dubbed but shown in their original language, which is often English.
