The city of Helsingør is located in the northern part of the Capital Region of Denmark. Helsingør is surrounded by scenic landscape with beautiful lakes, forests and fields, and is bordered by the sea to the east and north. Helsingør is a historic town with the famous landmark of Kronborg Castle, immortalised in Shakespeare's Hamlet. Helsingør is not only a historic town with a famous castle and a historic city centre, it has also managed to keep up with the times by offering plenty of cultural- and sporting attractions, while shopping and business possibilities are also plentiful.

Helsingør has a good business environment within all sectors, with recent strong growth in the biotech & medico industries. In Helsingør, as in the rest of the region, the workforce is highly qualified and well educated.

The local and regional infrastructure is very good. There is easy access to the city of Copenhagen as well as to Copenhagen airport by road and rail. There is also a direct ferry connection to Helsingborg, Sweden, with sailings every 20 minutes.
